Terms of service.

Originals.

Each original is one of one, hand-painted on cotton paper. Once sold, it's gone. Originals are not returnable for change of mind. We'll replace any piece that arrives damaged in transit (see the shipping policy for details).

Commissions.

Commissions begin once a 50% deposit is received. The balance is due before shipping. Once a commission is in progress, it can't be cancelled — please share reference photos thoughtfully. Turnaround times on the commissions page are estimates, not guarantees; we'll communicate proactively if anything shifts.

Copyright.

Buying a painting (original or commission) gives you the physical work. Hilda Lo retains the copyright. We'll generally agree to reproduce a painting on greeting cards or prints, but not to license it for commercial use without a written agreement.

Site content.

All paintings, photos, and writing on this site are © Hilda Lo unless otherwise noted. Personal use (saving an image to your phone, sharing a link with a friend) is fine. Commercial use, AI training, or republishing without permission is not.

Liability.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to this site or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the item in question.
